Hello, people of the future! You may be confused by the reference to this strange and unknowable creature called “Geocities.” Geocities was a webhosting service back at the earliest dawn of the Internet, when the web was powered by a woolly mammoth that stops every five minutes to say “It’s a living!”
Speaking of which, Moody and I were at a wine tasting the other day and I started pontificating about the Flintstones and Moody was completely flabbergasted at the idea that the Flintstones had television. Like, having radios and cars and airplanes powered by dinosaurs were totally logical, but television was just going too far. I think I explained it as a cathode ray built out of a stegosaurus.
More like GEOSHITIES harr dee harr harr, it’s been done to death but it’s obligatory.
I remember Geocities. It always kinda sucked.
Yes. Yes, it did.
By the way, I was thinking of trying this ComicPress for my new comic series. How well is it working out for you?
I remember when Geocities was a step up from Prodigy.
Oh God I’m old.
Comicpress is not very intuitive, at least not for me, so it’s kind of difficult to personalize; It took me forever to figure out how to turn the background pink. But once you do figure stuff out, it’s easy to make things look all relatively neat and polished, so I’m generally happy with it. It definitely takes a lot less work to make this site presentable than it does to keep the Witchprickers site updated.
Does this mean that Demitopia will have its own site soon?
I hope to give Demitopia its own site relatively soon. I should finish a few more pages first, though.
Neat, looking forward to that!
Geocities managed to hang on until last month, when the death knell finally sounded.
oh dear god this comic speaks truth in a new light :S
